Multi-phased expansion and occupied renovation of two existing facility buildings. Our goal was to make the facility more affordable to operate, while also improving employee workflow, maximizing space, incorporating 21st Century technology, and bringing in more natural light to improve the work environment.
The 14,482 sf of renovations to existing office spaces includes space planning for optimized efficiency, upgrades to the HVAC system, new lighting, and improved ADA compliance to bring the facility up to modern standards.
Alongside these tenant improvements, new construction spanning 12,149 sf was strategically added to connect the existing two buildings. This new construction integrated key elements into the facility, including a lobby, a well-equipped 100-seat boardroom, and a central courtyard. These additions were carefully designed to foster a more collaborative and inviting environment for a variety of users.
In parallel, the project encompassed site improvements aimed at improving ADA compliance and upgrades including new grading, parking spaces, and updated flatwork. Additionally, landscaping elements were introduced to enhance the overall aesthetics and create an appealing outdoor environment.
SILLMAN brought a unique perspective to the District’s goals of form and function, creatively refurbishing existing spaces and building on these to develop a new and exciting layout for our employees and customers.
