A hub for civic and cultural dialogue, the North Board Chambers within the County Administrative Center is home to the County of San Diego Board of Supervisor’s meetings and was last updated in the mid-1970s. Dated, drab, poor acoustics, the room no longer reflected the progressive modern ideals of San Diego’s populous. This 3,540 sf renovation features a custom curvilinear marble desk atop the dais acts as the central focal point. The design features 29 additional seats and additional leg room for the public, new HVAC, state of the art video and audio technology, fresh modern materials that reflect the historic nature of the 1930’s structure, historic mural restoration, window restoration for incredible bay views and natural light. The renovation acknowledges the space as foundational to San Diego’s past and simultaneously embraces a San Diego of the future!
