The LEED Silver design of the Pine Valley Sheriff’s Station is a modern reinterpretation of the surrounding rural context and is a composition of shed roofs with a gable entry that reflects the rustic character of Pine Valley.

The 4,500 sf Station includes administrative facilities, offices, interview rooms, detainee processing and hold cells, evidence processing, storage, a kennel, armory, restrooms, limited public area, conference rooms and an exterior courtyard.

Since the project is an Essential Service facility, the design incorporates several elements of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, including Natural Surveillance, Natural Access Control, and Natural Territorial Reinforcement. There are windows throughout the project to provide visual access to public areas. A single clearly defined storefront entry clearly defines public and private space and allows for Natural Surveillance. Thorny bushes are used at windows to discourage intrusion and provide an attractive front door. A transparent but secure 6’ high decorative fence with a man gate and vehicle gate clearly delineates the front yard from the backyard and provides Natural Access Control.

It's a great facility! A "win-win" for the Sheriff's Department and it's great for the Community.
