Design and construction of a new LEED Silver Pomona Water Resources Complex, which includes a new 11,566 sf administration building with flexible office space, large multi-use room, SCADA room, and modern conference rooms; a new 11,070 sf warehouse with storage, locker rooms, offices, and a water quality testing lab; and reconstruction of a 4,083 sf stable building with storage, training rooms, restrooms, and a breakroom/kitchen.
Originally built in the 1910s, the reconstruction of the historic stable building utilizes the same type of materials and features similar architectural details of the original building. As phase two of the project, this building calls for special attention, as it has long been a historic city landmark, well-loved by the community.
The design of the other buildings primarily focuses on durability, functionality, and efficiency to decrease overall operation costs and offer an extended life-cycle of the buildings.
We increased the functionality of the facility by creating spaces for multi-use and flexible sizing, while increasing the life-cycle by utilizing durable, low-maintenance materials to stand the test of time.
There are various sustainable features throughout the project to help us reach LEED Silver, such as natural daylighting (strategic orientation of buildings), solar shading, and drought tolerant plants.

Gold Nugget Award of Merit, Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC)
SILLMAN exceeded my expectations, and the overall design was what made SILLMAN shine. Their attention to detail was outstanding and the overall concepts were far better than expected. During the design and construction phase, they were there every step of the way guiding both our staff and the staff of the general contractor.
