The new 41,385 sf energy-efficient Technology Learning Center is a welcoming arrival point to West LA College.
This 4-story building not only houses computer science labs, offices, and additional instructional spaces, but also responds to unique topographic challenges by connecting the lower parking lot to the upper campus with convenient elevators and an extended pedestrian bridge.
With LEED Silver certification, the design capitalizes on cross ventilation and natural light. It incorporates several other energy efficient features, such as sophisticated energy management controls to seamlessly monitor usage to mitigate unnecessary energy use, stormwater capture for reuse, and drought-tolerant native plants on the exterior with water-efficient irrigation.
